The Chirality of an Image
The Chirality of an Image and its companion piece, Tapping on Glass, were created as part of our 2020 exhibition, Inchworm. The works in the exhibition explored a simple notion; when does the surface stop and the image begin? These screen printed textiles with their moveable sculptural attachments bring to attenion the ephemeral nature of images. Ghostly desaturated images calling to mind the human figure push beyond the picture plane, while the playful sculptures snap the surface back into focus.
