Graphic Arts Future
Graphic Arts Future is an experimental publication and meta-catalog for our 2015 exhibition The Past is Stranger, the Future is a Guest at Texas State University. Through a series of essays and interviews, contributors Alexander Valentine, Edie Fake, Todd Irwin, Daniel Mellis, Julia V. Hendrickson, Katherine Young, and ourselves triangulate the contemporary state of the graphic arts and its relationship to technology, art, music, and story telling. The book is a accompanied by a 12” vinyl record of original music by Sonnenzimmer which hopes to illuminate the content of the book through the ears, rather than through the eyes.
