Sam Prekop, the frontman in the acclaimed The Sea and Cake is more known for his music than his artwork. At least some would argue that. But the approach for this band poster came from the notion that all members in the band made visual art. Archer Prewitt, for example, has also done comics, illustrations and drawings for years. Having admired the band members work in and outside of the Sea and Cake and loving their lofty liquid sound, this was a great opportunity to tackle the approach from the art angle and hopefully have it unfold into the sound of the band. You be the judge.
