Glorytellers

Glorytellers' album Atone

When Geoff Farina, from Karate and Secret Stars fame, approached us to design his current band’s album, we were floored! Nadine and I are long time fans, so we jumped at the chance to work with one of our favorite musicians out there. Glorytellers play a brand of americana that is rooted in dusty music history but is somehow shimmering and new. The way in which Farina and his bandmates meld classic styles is a testament to their craft. Oh, and the songs are catchy as hell, too. Since this project was not going to be screen printed, we wanted to make it feel as handmade as possible, all while keeping a clean and sophisticated edge. After a lengthy brainstorm / paintstorm session, we came up with a couple of apples. The album’s title, Atone, seemed to beg for symbolism, so it seemed like a good fit. Turns out Geoff mentions a particular kind of apple in one of the songs aswell…. so double better! These records traveled all over the place. There are US, UK, and Japanese releases all pictured above.
